We develop techniques that bridge nanoscale electronic structure to mesoscale charge and energy transport, as well as macroscopic thermodynamic and mechanical properties. Current interests include methods for machine learning models capable of describing long range interactions, analytic theories for long range interactions, path integral methods for quasiparticles, and nonequilibrium descriptions of model chemical reactions in solution.</image:caption>
